Tsaka took off, following the menacing glow of her jewel box. She flew all day, searching this way and that. She was beginning to wonder if she would ever find Rikaru, as she passed over a clearing and the box became duller.
"Finally!" she cried triumphantly.
She landed gracefully and looked around. The clearing seemed oddly familiar. Tsaka looked at the ground. A burn mark!
"I'm surprised to see you here, Tsaka," a voice drawled from nearby, "Have you come to grieve?" Rikaru laughed. "Sad that your whole species lays in the ground?"
"Don't you ever speak of them, you slime!" Tsaka yelled. "You evil, backstabbing murderer!"
Rikaru sneered, "Why thank you..."
Tsaka lunged for him, forgetting about the jewel, only wanting to rip him apart. He hit her back easily, and she skidded across the ground and into a tree. The jewel boxes string snapped, and it went flying. Tsaka remembered the quest for it. She lunged to catch it, but Rikaru got in her way. He hadn't noticed the jewel yet.
"Trying to run away, little wolf? I'm going to finish what I started!"
He drew his sword quickly and lunged at her. Tsaka rolled out of the way, but he got her hind leg. Biting back a yell, Tsaka leaped out of the way of another stab and took to the air. But Rikaru could jump just as high, and he leaped onto her back. Just as Rikaru was about to slice her in two, Tsaka barrel-rolled. The action and the extra weight caused her to fall with Rikaru. She landed on her wings, crushing them. Tsaka no longer had the advantage of flight. She got up slowly and looked for the jewel. Rikaru was blocking it again. She made a dive towards him as he lifted his sword. She clamped her jaws on the arm holding it. Rikaru dropped the sword and kicked her off. Tsaka was badly hurt. Her wings wouldn't support her full weight, but maybe...
Tsaka ran straight towards Rikaru at full speed. He prepared the attack, but right before she reached him, Tsaka jumped as high as she could. Gritting her teeth as she painfully spread her wings, she glided over Rikaru's head to the jewel. Grabbing it as she landed, Tsaka turned around and looked for Rikaru.
"What do you think this is? Not even going to try to hit me? You're just fleeing with your tail between your legs, you stupid mutt..."
Tsaka pitched the jewel at Rikaru. "Die Rikaru! Go burn in Hell like you deserve!" Rikaru caught the jewel easily, and inspected it. "This is all you..." he began, but the jewel began to glow.
It intensified, and Tsaka was blinded. She could hear Rikaru's yell, and then an explosion. Tsaka's life flashed before her eyes. Her parents, and friends, and even her enemies. She was reminded of the vision of her mate and pups the orb showed her. She wondered with hope if the fact that Amaroq wasn't there meant that he was alive. Everything went dark.

Tsaka awoke sometime later, still in the clearing. She got up and looked around. There was no trace of Rikaru, just another burn mark on the ground near the first one. She was no longer hurt; in fact, Tsaka felt an overwhelming joy bubbling up inside her. She let out a howl, full of triumph, sadness, and laughter, all in one. Suddenly a light appeared before her. It was the orb.
"Tsaka Higoratzu, you have done well."
Tsaka bowed. "Thank you." A light shined around her neck, as the jewel box appeared there again.
"Don?t lose that," the orb said.
"I won't, I know that. This thing is useful!"
The orb didn't laugh, but it's voice sounded amused. "Yes, and you earned this power. Do not abuse it." Tsaka nodded, but she had another question.
"Excuse me? I would like to know if my son Amaroq is still alive."
The orb became duller as it began to fade away, "Yes, Tsaka, he is alive. We have made him into a normal wolf until he realizes his true identity. You may search for him, but do not contact him. He must find you, for it is his destiny." The orb faded and the clearing was dark again.
Tsaka looked towards the moon overhead. She would search for Amaroq, and any others of her kind. Even if she couldn't speak to him, it was clearly destiny that they would be reunited again. Tsaka spread her wings and took off, flying straight towards the northern moon.

Here's some credits and such (kinda long, huh?):

Finally! IT IS COMPLETE! Well, it took a lot of time typing in word, and a lot of that strenuous task of copying and pasting, but it's finished. I'm quite pleased with how it came out, it's much better than the original. I might start redoing my sequals, but that would take about five times as much work, because they are COMPLETE fan fics. In the original story, Tsaka didn't meet up with Inuyasha characters until the very end, when she was fighting Naraku(now changed to Rikaru). But the other few stories have Inuyasha characters in it from beginning to end. I might put all three into one, because if I take out the fanfictionness, they would be really short by themselves. If you want to read the story of Tsaka's son, Amaroq, you can do so here. [link] Beware it's not finished, but it will be soon. It's all about him trying to find Tsaka, meeting up with the sphinx and tiger, and finally learning about his true identity, a wolf demon.
This story name character were all made by me, and I will hunt you with everlasting vengence if you steal them! Thanks to Kit for helping me along with the original so long ago. With your input, it finally bacame what I intended. Also thanks to my ex, Alex, who finally pushed me to get off my lazy ass and finish the modified version. I came up with the name thanks to a research project I did in school about samurai. Don't ask me how, it's hard to explain. ^^ I totally got the whole sphinx part from the 4th Harry Potter book, but I did come up with my own riddle/poem, so no stealing that! All the names for the map are Japanese. If you want to know what they mean, go find out yourself. The idea for Rikaru's name and appearance came from the wonderful game of Kingdom Hearts, which I devoted many an hour to. I wish I could have decribed him better, but it's kinda hard, and I can't draw anything because I can't draw humans. He is supposed to be Ansem I suppose, with a bit of Sepiroth thrown in. But finally, a big huge thanks to Inuyasha, which gave me the entire setting and demon theme. Without that godly show, I never would have created this fantasy of mine, and probably would have ended up as some stupid popular girl(*shudder*) instead of my nerdy self. It gave me my entire artist way of looking at things, and kinda shaped who I am. I love you, Inu!
